James Potts has been appointed to the part-time role of Compliance Officer, following his recent retirement as a Detective in Leicestershire Police. James said “I’m looking forward to moving on after 25 years in various roles in the Police Service in Leicestershire. Having no connection to parachuting or British Skydiving I am keen to learn and meet as many members of British Skydiving as possible. I hope to bring an impartial, common sense and logical approach to my work as Compliance Officer.”
James’s role will cover a range of compliance areas including data and safeguarding, and he will manage cases under the grievance and disciplinary procedures. He’ll be available by appointment to discuss any compliance matters on which members may seek advice, or who are in need of an understanding ear.
